Aklatang Pambata needs YOU

Eduk Inc. is looking for interested volunteers who would like to share their time and talents to our present Aklatang Pambata projects and future library projects. Volunteers strengthen and enrich educational programs and foster greater cooperation among all the partners of the project especially the community.

Our libraries welcomes volunteer involvement in a variety of areas and capacities. Volunteers may provide short term or long term commitment. For long term commitment:

  • volunteers can help in cataloging/ organizing library collection,
  • organize a fundraising event enough to sustain the library’s operations of one project area for one year or more
  • help apply for a grant (Aklatang Pambata is fully supported by the volunteers)
  • help in volunteer management by providing training, smooth coordination, monitoring and assessment of activities
  • help make this website mmore attractive

For short-term commitment:

  • volunteers can help by being storyteller/s or facilitator/s for art sessions/ environmental talks/ film showings for the 6 libraries, most especially to the project libraries OUTSIDE Quezon City
  • volunteers can initiate a bookdrive for a certain project with specific book wishlist

Volunteers derive a great sense of fulfilment and satisfaction from their work and our libraries are certainly very much enhanced by their generous efforts.

We would be vvery much delighted if you can join us at Aklatang Pambata-Narcisa Abiad Community Library in QC during the volunteer orientations and workshops at these dates, old and new volunteers are invited:

November 17 (whole day) - Library Management

November 24 (8 am to 12 nn) - Catch them Early

December 2 (8 am to 12 nn) - Facilitation/ Writeshop

Our upcoming projects for November-December

  • Community Library at GK Aldaba Hills, Bulacan which will cater to young adults/ high school students
  • Community Library at Marikina which will cater to young adults/ high school students.
